ONE OF A KIND VINTAGE BEAD GUMDROP EARRINGS IN LIME

The One of a Kind Gumdrop collection is truly special. Made with the MOST beautiful beads a lovely customer gifted me from her very treasured bead collection - that she has collected over years & years as well as a handful of vintage beads I have sourced myself

 

My lovely customer collected most of these beautiful beads in the 90's & early noughties. Some are from the 80's and were bought in an auction in 1999. Some were Janet Coles beads purchased in the 90's. And there is a beautiful selection of gemstone beads that were bought in various auctions in 2001!

 

A truly special & loved bead collection, of which I am honoured to design with. This is why many pieces are one of a kind and all pieces are one off designs that I won't be able to restock again. I think this really honours the history of the beads, and just makes these pieces even more special

 

I love using vintage beads, I love knowing that they have a story. But it's not often I get to know the story myself & get to tell it to you

 

The Lime Gumdrop earrings are a super cool, pop of colour. Made with the most incredible bright lime faceted lucite beads I sourced as an old necklace at an antiques market. The translucency of the clear glass & lime lucite beads dances with the light - & whilst the lime is a beautiful pop of colour, the transclucency adds more dimension & subtlety to density of the colour. I love these earrings, they are so unique!

This pair is made with vintage & repurposed beads & a choice of gold filled or sterling silver ball studs & hardware.
